On 7/11/98, I made the big mistake of posting the following question to the newsgroup rec.martial-arts.moderated:

"Is there any software that assists in making visual representations of kata and other techniques?"

The reply: "Poser".

Shortly afterwards, I purchased Poser 3 from MetaCreations, and rapidly became addicted to producing 3D graphics.

This site will be used to share martial arts oriented graphics created with Poser 3 and related applications. For variety, there will probably be non-martial arts material as well.

Caveat:  I have only been studying martial arts for a few years, and understand little. I am not in any sense an authority on the subject. I have much less experience with 3D computer graphics. Although my intent is to illustrate martial arts techniques accurately, the martial arts techniques shown on this site should be interpreted not as instruction, but only as artwork.
